Audio bar style video editing in Alightmotion

  1. Import Your Video: Start by importing the video clip you want to edit into Alight Motion.
  2. Add the Audio: If your video doesn’t already have audio, you can add one by importing an audio file or recording one directly in the app.
  3. Create the Audio Bars:
    • Create a new project or select the existing one.
    • Add a new shape layer by tapping on the “+” button and selecting “Rectangle” or any shape that suits your style.
    • Customize the shape to make it thin and elongated, resembling an audio bar. You can adjust the size, color, and transparency of the shape in the properties panel.
  4. Animate the Bars:
    • Position the shape layer where you want the audio bars to appear on the screen.
    • Duplicate the shape layer multiple times to create multiple bars.
    • Align the bars horizontally across the screen.
    • Create keyframe animations for each bar to make them move according to the audio intensity. You can do this by adjusting the height of each bar at different points in the timeline based on the audio levels.
  5. Sync with Audio:
    • Play the audio and observe its waveform.
    • Adjust the keyframes of the bars to match the peaks and troughs of the audio waveform. Increase the height of the bars during loud parts of the audio and decrease them during quieter parts.
  6. Fine-Tune:
    • Preview the video to ensure that the bars sync well with the audio.
    • Make any necessary adjustments to the timing and positioning of the bars to achieve the desired effect.
  7. Add Effects (Optional):
    • You can further enhance the visual appeal of the audio bars by adding effects such as glow, blur, or color grading to make them stand out.
  8. Export Your Video:
    • Once you’re satisfied with the editing, export your video to save or share it with others
